Blackberry Harvesting
Join us bright and early—the last Saturday in July from 7–10 AM—so we can beat the heat and the park crowds. We’ll log trees in the iNaturalist app, then head to the blackberry patch for a sweet morning harvest. Bring water, a charged phone, and a container for your berries!

About the event
Rise and shine with us for Blackberry Picking Day on the last Saturday in July! We’ll meet from 7–10 AM to stay cool and avoid the busiest park hours. Our morning begins with volunteers helping to map the Food Forest’s trees using the iNaturalist app—no experience needed, just a charged phone and a bit of curiosity. After that, we’ll wander over to the blackberry patch to enjoy a fresh, early-morning harvest before the sun gets too fierce. Please bring plenty of water, comfortable clothes, and a container for your berries. It’s a fun, relaxed way to learn, contribute, and taste the rewards of summer—everyone’s welcome!
